John has been in hairdressing since 1972 and after qualifying attended the Vidal Sassoon Hairdressing Academy in London. John has worked hard in the industry and has built up an enviable reputation. John runs a friendly and efficient salon and has a passion for hairdressing that has never diminished. John is well respected for his experience and expertise and also manages and trains the staff whilst evolving the business to ensure he keeps the salon at the forefront of the changing world of hairdressing.
 The expansion and refurbishment of the salon in 2008 is something which John is very proud of. In March 2006 John won Employer of the Year for Northants and East Midlands. John is a Trustee of Rothwell Preservation Trust and also a Trustee of the East Midlands Serious Injuries Trust.  John is married to Shirley and they have two grown up sons.  John's hobbies include rugby, music, photography, socialising and tending his allotment.

Shirley has been married to John since 1980 and has been in hairdressing since 1998. They have two grown up sons. After gaining her NVQ's Shirley attended the Vidal Sassoon Hairdressing Academy in London for an intensive course. Shirley has a real flair and enjoys all aspects of hairdressing and likes working with people.  Shirley also manages the business side of running John Newman Hairdressing and Beauty. 

Shirley is also a qualified nail technician who is available for Calgel gel nails and extensions, Shellac and Minx nails.

Shirley's hobbies include going to the gym, music, reading, travelling, hiking and walking Millie and Poppy her two pet labradors.

Tina lives in Kettering with her husband Matt. Tina has been in hairdressing since 1990 and has qualified to NVQ L3, she has also qualified as a Trainer and Assessor in hairdressing. Tina specialises in hair up for weddings and special occasions and technical work such as fashion colouring. Tina has completed a Degree in Hairdressing and Business Management at Derby University. Tina is popular and has an extensive clientele. 

Tina is also a beauty technician who is qualified for manicures, pedicures, waxing, eyelash & eyebrow tinting and Calgel nails.
Tina's hobbies are walking her two dogs, music, shopping and Wii Fit.

Darren has been in hairdressing since 2003 and gained his NVQ Level 2 in May 2005. In 2004 he was nominated for the UK Student of the Year Award and in 2005 he won the Tresham Hairdressing Student of the Year Award, he is also a state registered hairdresser with the British Hairdressing Council. Darren is an asset to the team, he is enthusiastic and likes a challenge. In March 2006 Darren was a finalist in the East Midlands Achiever of the Year Awards.

Darren is a good people person, is popular with the clients, has built up a loyal client base and runs a  busy column.  He has earned the status of Creative Stylist within the Salon.  Darren's hobbies include American Football, visiting America, music, cooking, and looking after his 2 sons.

Chloe has been working at JNH full time since April 2006, although she started her hairdressing training in the summer of 2005 when she left school and attended college full time. Chloe qualified early in 2008 as a hairdresser and has been building her reputation with her own growing clientele ever since and is now a Senior Stylist.   

Chloe loves socialising and going out with her friends, she lives in Kettering with her fiancee.
Chloe's hobbies are socialising with friends. going out and eating LOTS!

Beth joined us in July as a 2nd year Trainee, Beth has been attending Northampton college to gain her NVQ Level 2 in hairdressing and is due to qualify later this year.

Beth lives in Kettering, and is learning to drive at the moment and is hoping its not going to take too long to pass.

Beth hobbies include socialising, going to festivals, holidays and nights out

Lewis started with us doing his work experience in the last year of school, he then worked Saturdays until he finished his exams in July.
In July 2011, Lewis started with us as a Full Time Trainee and has started his apprenticeship at Tresham College. 

Lewis lives at home in Corby with his mum & dad.
Lewis's hobbies include swimming, sleeping, shopping and going out.

Natalie Joined us in July 2010 as a full time Stylist. Natalie trained full time at Tresham College gaining her NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing. Natalie is a friendly hard working member of the team.

Natalie lives in Burton Latimer with her mum, dad, sister & brother, Natalie is hoping to pass her driving test soon as she does not like relying on buses to get to and from work.
Natalie's hobbies include SHOPPING, of course !! and Dining out for a steak meal! 

Patrice joined us in Feb 2010 as a full time Beauty Therapist. She trained at Northampton College until 2007 gaining a NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy, followed by a Foundation degree in Make-up at the University of Bedfordshire, and has also attened a full Guinot Institut Paris training.  Patrice is qualified in Calgel nails, Shellac gel polish, Minx nail systems and Sienna-X Spray Tanning

Patrice lives in Kettering with her boyfriend, Lewis. Lewis is a DJ so as you can imagine a night out is always on the cards!
Patrice recently passed her driving test and got her 1st car which she loves. 
Patrice's hobbies include Listening to music, socialising and shopping

Klair joined us in 2009 as a Senior Stylist. Klair has worked in the hairdressing industry for 18 years. After training at Francesco Group of Salons, she left to work at Saks; working and training stylists in their large group of salons and teaching at The Saks academy in Covent Garden. Over the years, Klair has completed many courses with Loreal, GHD, Mark Hill, Patrick Cameron, Wella and Racoon.

Klair works on Saturdays at John Newman Hairdressing and Beauty, she also works part time as an external verifier for VTCT (the awarding body for hairdressing and beauty qualifications).  Klair is married to Matt and they have two children.  Klair's hobbies are cycling, baking and looking after her children, and she has now taken up fostering which she is enjoying very much !
