Wow, what an experience! On November 20th 2017, I embarked on my journey to Iceland to make one bride feel very special on her big day.
After a long day of travelling, I arrived at the beautiful wedding venue - hotel Ranga in Hella Iceland. We were welcomed that evening by -6°c snowstorms and the northern lights dancing in the sky!
The following day, I was made familiar with the bridal party as we headed off on the famous Golden Circle Tour all wrapped up. As we drove through the snow covered mountains, we saw some amazing sights including the Geysir geothermal area.
I then headed back to hotel Ranga ready to pamper the bridal party ready for the big day tomorrow.
The big day was here! I started my day at 8:30am that morning, ready to tackle numerous creative hair up dos for the wedding party.
Once I had completed the bridal party, I headed down to the bride's suite, which was when I started the most important job of making Hayley feel like princess.
As I made my finishing touches, I then headed to get ready for the wedding myself.
As Hayley walked down the aisle, the room was silent! She looked so lovely, it was at that point I realised my hard work was all worth it. That feeling is what hairdressing is all about!! I partied the night away enjoying the festivities, and the evening was finished off with the northern lights making another appearance. After exploring Reykjavik the next day, I then headed home. I will never forget this trip and how lucky I am for being able to be a part of Hayley and Simon's special day!
